PostSubject: Combat Oriented Stats System (BETA)   Mon Jun 11, 2018 11:49 pm

The combat system will work off of a statistical reference system. While combat will attempt to take a more free form approach, the stats will be used to compare instances and combat and accurately come to a conclusive interaction.

The stats will be between 1 and 9. At rank 1, your stat is below that of an average human being. At rank 2, you have the base ability of an average human being. On KoBB, all Successors have had their bodies modified in some way and are able to perform feats above that of a human being. However, it is not impossible to see Successors with physical capacities equal to or below an average human. It seems the more of your soul is used for magic and abilities, the weaker your body is, and vice versa.

This means the less abilities you have, the more stats you will have. The more abilities you have, the less stats you will have.

Here are the primary stats. When allocating stats, they are all 1 = 1. Meaning 1 point in Power = 1 rank. Keep in mind that each example assumes you are exerting most, if not all, of your ability unless stated otherwise.

Primary Stats

Power

1: Below average strength. You are barely able to lift furniture, if at all.

2: Average strength. You are capable of carrying another full size human.

3: You are just above average strength. You are able to lift loads that would normally take two people and manage

4: You are comfortably above average strength. You are able to handle up to six-hundred pounds of weight

5: Well above average level of strength. You can lift eight-hundred pounds

6: You are considered to be the peak level of human strength. You can begin to lift a car with nothing but strength (for record, the top recorded dead lift is around 1,000 pounds)

7: You surpass human levels of power. Rolling over cars is achieved with moderate effort.

8: You are comfortable with lifting cars. You begin to be able to fully lift them off the ground with proper set up.

9: Considered superhuman. You can roll over cars with one hand and medium effort. A punch from you can crush stone buildings and bend steel

-

Agility

1: You are slower than the average human. You just barely reach 15 miles per hour when sprinting. You can swing a bat at 60 miles per hour (limb movement speed)

2: You move at the average human speed. You can run at 20 miles per hour when sprinting. You can swing a bat at 70 miles per four (limb movement speed)

3. You move just above the average human speed. You can run at 25 miles per hour when sprinting. You can swing a bat at e80 miles per hour (limb movement speed)

4. You move above the average human speed. You can run at 30 miles per hour when sprinting. You can swing a bat at 90 miles per hour (for reference, the fastest recorded sprint speed is about 30 miles per hour at 28~)

5. You move well above the average human speed. You can run at 35 miles per hour when sprinting. You can swing a bad at 100 miles per hour.

6. You are considered to be at, or above the peak level of human movement. You can run at 40 miles per hour when sprinting. You can swing a bat at 100 miles per hour (for reference, the fastest bat swing is just above 100 miles per hour)

7. You surpass human levels of movement. You can run at 45 miles per hour when sprinting. You can swing a bat at 110 miles per hour.

8. You are able to run at 50 miles per hour when sprinting. You can swing a bat at 120 miles per hour.

9. You are considered super-human. You can run at 55 miles per hour when sprinting. You can swing a bat at 125 miles per hour

-

Durability

1: Your body is slightly more frail than average. You are more damaged from taking hits.

2: Your body is average in terms of taking damage. You bruise and break normally.

3. Your body is slightly above average when taking damage. Bruises are smaller and cuts aren't as deep

4. Your body is above average when taking damage. Hits that would bruise do not phase you and sharp objects need to work twice as hard to cut you.

5. Your body is well above average when taking damage. You can take hits that would flinch a normal person without flinching and cuts aren't as easy to inflict and bleed less.

6. Your body can be considered incredibly sturdy. You are able to take hits from a bat without too much damage and knives almost sink against your skin before cutting

7. Your body is considered special. You can fight against blunt weaponry with your body comfortably and begin to be able to take bullets with less damage, and your bones are much more durable

8. You are considered super human. Your body is able to take a high speed car without breaking. Bullets inflict damage comparable to pocket knives at most

9. Some say you are invincible. Bullets only break skin half the time and you can take a fall from a ten story building.

In all cases of durability, prolonged pressure with a thin, sharp object is the most effective way to break skin. The properties of flesh remain

Secondary Stats

These stats are special in the sense they are pre-determined by Primary Stats or they require a different form of allocation.

Stamina: Stamina is the addition of your Power and Durability then halved. Instead of per rank, it falls into a generalized area as stated below.

Between 1 and 2: Your stamina is Low. With Low stamina, you can only handle constant action for around three posts before a rest post is required.

Between 3 and 5: Your stamina is considered Average. With Average stamina, you can handle constant action for around five posts before a rest post is required.

6 or above: Your stamina is considered High. With High stamina, you can handle constant action for around seven posts before a rest is required.

Note: A Rest post is a point of exhaustion. During this post, you are unable to perform actions up to peak capacity. A Rest involves minimal to no action. If you push yourself while exhausted, you will suffer a reduction in all stat ranks by -2 and will add an additional required post of resting time.

-

Perception: This stat requires 2 points of allocation to reach rank 1. There are three ranks.

1: You can track movement with your eyes quicker. Even those with Speed three ranks above you are tracked a little easier, though not much. You get a funny feeling regarding illusions/trickery abilities. You have a slight sense of when you are being tricked/manipulated in some way via ability.

2: You can track movement sufficiently. Even those with Speed ranks up to five above you are tracked easier. You can tell when illusion/trickery abilities are in use and are harder to trick/control.

3: You can track all ranks of speed without difficulty. When illusions/trickery abilities are used, you are able to pinpoint the effect and an idea of the user's location while remaining in control of your mind.

-

When another character has a rank of one above you, you can match that person capably enough. Only in a prolonged contest will a difference be seen.

When another character has a rank of two above you, you have trouble keeping up with them, but you are still able to. It won't be long before an advantage is clear.

When another character has a rank of three above you, you cannot match them. It takes all of your effort and creativity to make up for that specific difference in ability.

When another character has a rank of four or more above you, you are completely outmatched in that regard in every way.

-

The ratio of power v.s durability is 1 to 1. Meaning a Power rank of 5 against a Durability rank of 5 will result in average damage as if both characters had the base human average level.
